June 2006 - MTECH has been awarded a Phase II SBIR, funded by the Office of Naval Research (ONR), to build cryogenic power electronics hardware intended for use in the Navy's all electric ship.
Phase II Subcontract Awarded
April 2006 - -MTECH has been awarded a subcontract in a Phase II SBIR program pursued by TRS Ceramics. TRS is developing cryogenically-compatible ceramic capacitors, which find use in MTECH's product lines.
Cryogenic Capacitors Subcontract
March 2006 - MTECH is subcontracting with General Atomics and its high-energy capacitor division, ESI, in a DARPA-funded study involving cryogenic capacitors. GA and ESI will supply MTECH with advanced dielectric materials for testing and evaluation.
MTECH Studios Delivers Animation
March 2006 - MTECH Studios has delivered a 7-minute 3D computer-generated technical animation to a major contractor. The presentation will be used to illustrate an innovative concept to internal and external audiences.
U.S. Air Force STTR Completed
December 2005 - MTECH has successfully completed a Small Busineess Technology Transfer (STTR) grant funded by the U.S. Air Force. In the project, MTECH collaborated with Florida State University's National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL). The team investigated various solutions to the problem of quench protection in high-temperature superconducting magnets.
